Our journey through the Badlands, Sandhills and Grasslands to Esterhazy, Saskatchewan had been relaxing and gratifying. Settled in to care for his mom Laddie passed the time with Tulák. The small water leak below the sink was easily repaired. Quick connect fittings for the air lines were installed. He was making progress until he came down with what he thought was a stomach flu.
Three days later Laddie had his brother-in-law take him to the hospital. What Laddie assumed to be stomach flu had been a heart attack. Laddie is in good hands at the Regina General Hospital. Tulák has been moved to our niece’s farm for safe-keeping.
A redirection, but …………….…

Oh, I’m feeling sadness for you, to be letting go of your dream vehicle, having shared second hand in your journey to Europe for it, your long planning and work to create such a road & journey-worthy camping vehicle over several of the past years. I’ve so enjoyed the blogs with photos taking me along with you…especially eastward in open-sky prairie lands! And…if only I had a traveling partner still, I’d so want to buy your Unimog for more land journeys!

Boy Laddie I can’t help thinking that I’m glad you were in Canada and not your intended destination of South America to deal with your current situation, and now sporting a new hip and a tuned up heart you and Ann should be ready to go anywhere. Take care my friend we’re thinking of you.

Hello Laddie
You might remember our encounter in July last summer, I was the fellow that was on the motorcycle that paused your window repair on the house.
Thanks for taking the time to tour me through the unit, our chat in garden was the inspiration for me to find a mog this past December. Your advice and experience have proved to be very rewarding in the repairs and improvements suggested were appreciated.
Perhaps we will cross paths in our travels, until then stay healthy and safe.
